Marquee zoom required on Chrome/Edge

Community Beginner ,
Dec 15, 2021 Dec 15, 2021

Hi Team,

Is there an extension for Chrome/Edge with marquee zoom option available when viewing the .pdf file?

I use this option with IE, but because this browser is retiring slowly and I've made Edge as a default browser I would like to be able to use this feature with Edge/Chrome too.

Found the workaround by downloading the file and then opening with Adobe but looking for better solution.

Thank you in advance 😊

Aga

#1 This product community is for questions about ADOBE made products. Adobe does not make browsers or browser extensions.

#2 Google makes Google Chrome.  Suggest you seek extensions directly from the Google Chrome Web Store.  Likewise, Microsoft makes MS Edge.  Consult the Microsoft Edge Add-ons page.

Good luck & Happy Holidays.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for coming back to me.

It's for viewing pdf docs online.

When I view the .pdf file via Internet Explorer, I have the marquee zoom / magnifer with plus sign option available - as below.

This option is not available on Edge or Chrome.

Kind regards,

Aga

Chrome and Edge do not use Adobe software - and also do not allow extensions. So, probably not.

I don't work for Adobe.

Adobe makes Acrobat.  As stated previously, you will have better results with the freestanding Acrobat app vs browser PDF viewers.

The Acrobat Extension is from Adobe. It's described here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/enable-createpdf-extension-chrome.html

It just adds a button to the Chrome toolbar to create PDF, if you have Acrobat (paid for product). It has nothing to do with showing the PDF at all.

@Agnieszka22271331lkvm,

The onboard PDF viewers in most browsers are notoriously inferior.  For best results, open PDFs directly in paid Acrobat Pro DC or the FREE Acrobat Reader.  Also make Acrobat your computer's default PDF viewer.

FREE Acrobat Reader -- view, comment, print & sign PDF.
https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/acrobat/pdf-reader.html

Paid Acrobat Pro DC -- the complete solution for creating and saving PDF.
https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/acrobat/acrobat-pro.html

Hope that helps.
