I'm scratching my head. Why are these two installs shoved down on users. I'm being opted in automatically instead of having the option to not install the two apps. How do I stop this from happening?

Hi,
Where are you downloading and installing from?
In the download page there is a tickbox next to the Macafee offer that you may untick.
It is checked by default, and users seem to miss this very often before executing the download.

Hi
Thank you for the prompt reply. I must admit, I was using a predownloaded acrobat reader which it seems we forgot to uncheck the two boxes! I went back and tried a fresh download and the two boxes were there, unchecked and the installer didn't included those two. My fault, all good here.
Best regards.
EJL.

It's the only way mcafee survives, is by teaming up with dishonest scammers that run adobe. They are a fraudulent company and a fake anti virus. Definitely immediately uninstall that dangerous malware that adobe tricked you into installing, and you should bring this up as an issue with adobe, clog their support lines up. There is no excuse for such a large corporation to be infecting people with viruses.
