I'm trying to redo a resume, but there are so many text boxes that it's ridiculous. Can I merge some of them together to make one larger text box to make it easier? I have a Mac if that matters at all.

Hi Christina,

No, you cannot. And being on a Mac or PC provides no advantage or disadvantage either way.

The "Edit" in Acrobat is a poor term that is easily misunderstood to imply that you can edit as you can in Quark, Word, InDesign, or any other full word processor or page layout application. You can't. At best you can fix a spelling, change a date, or a few other operations.

If you need to really EDIT, you need to open the original document in the original application. If you do not have access to either, your best bet is to export the document into (say) Word, Do what you need to do, and then recreate the PDF.

Sorry, I do not mean to sound terse or anything; it's just that I wish there were a more subtle form of the word "edit" for Adobe to use. It does provide a very inadequate description of what's truly possible.

I wish I could offer more, good luck.
