Is it possible to edit the metadata of many pdf files at the same time in Acrobat 9 or 9 pro?
Tks
Try it as just a string:
this.info.Keywords = "Keyword1,Keyword2";

In Acrobat Pro you can use a batch sequence to do it, yes.

Depends. What kind of metadata are you referring to?

I have to change the metadata of 130 pdf files. in particular:

- Author
- Subject
- Keyword

You can do it by running this JavaScript code:
this.info.Title = "New doc title";
this.info.Author = "New doc author";
this.info.Subject = "New doc subject";
The keywords are trickier, though. I believe it's an array, but it doesn't always work that well... Try this
this.info.Keywords = ["Keyword1","Keyword2"];

however I could use external software.

Search the help files for "batch sequence", or google "Acrobat 9 batch sequence".

I tried immediately and the script works, but how can I apply it to all files?

As a part of batch sequence, which allows you to process multiple files in
the same way.

I was able to create the script
but I just can not change the line for the keyword...
this.info.Title = "New doc title";
this.info.Author = "New doc author";
this.info.Subject = "New doc subject";
this.info.Keywords = ["Keyword1","Keyword2"];

It later versions it's possible by changing editing the Save command and telling it to export the files as PDF/A. It looks like this:
There's probably something similar in your version, but I can't provide exact instructions.
Another option is to do it using a script, like this:
this.saveAs({cPath: this.path.replace(/\.pdf$/, "_pdfa.pdf"), cConvID: "com.callas.preflight.pdfa"});
Copy link to clipboard

Using the output method gives me error: it was not possible to save in pdfa use the preliminary verification

Then add a Preflight command to make the file PDF/A-compliant.

So this?
this.saveAs ({cPath: this.path.replace (/ \. pdf $ /, "_pdfa.pdf"), cConvID: "com.callas.preflight.pdfa"});
....but he returns this error

No, that's the same. You have to run the Preflight tool on it first.

yes, but can I put the preliminary check and the save in pdf / A in the same script?
if I join the two sequences I get this error: The file "PreflightLib.dll" is missing or corrupt.

You can try to do it using a script and the preflight method, or you could
add a separate command to your Action that executes a certain profile of
the Preflight tool.

I have created a script for the preliminary verification: Convert to PDF / A -1b (sRGB) but give me an error with the profile

You have to fix all errors before you could save the file as PDF/A.
