Missing Data

New Here ,
Oct 02, 2023 Oct 02, 2023

Hello Adobe

I received these documents from a client but I cannot see any data and I am using Adobe Acrobat.  I think the file was created using the Adobe Acrobat reader. It is frustrating.

If I open it with Adobe Acrobat (paid software), all field are blank

If I open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader (free software), I can read it.

I should be able to open it with Adobe Acrobat as the software has a lot more features. I need to work on these files urgently.

Thank you for your help

This is an XFA form, not a regular Acro-Form.  BTW, forms cannot be created in Reader. This document was created with a special too called AEM Designer.

Because of the special nature of XFA forms, they can only be filled with a compliant tool, such as Adobe Reader or Acrobat.

It looks like this form was filled with a browser or other non-compliant PDF viewer. Which only corrupts the file and makes it useless. You need to contact your client and ask them to fill out the form with a proper PDF viewer, such as Adobe Reader. Then you'll be able to work with it.

And also, this form has password security on it. Which in reader seems to be preventing it from being filled, I suspect this is a corruption of the document.

The PDF also appears to have special Reader Rights applied to it, which I believe is why it can't be filled.
