When printing to the Acrobat PDF printer from different programs I have the following problems depending on the program printing from. Both issues are mainly seen when creating 100+ page documents with the pdf printer from Adobe Standard 2017.
1. Adobe hangs on different page numbers. The adobe box stays open until task is ended but it can sit for hours and do nothing. Document not created.
2. Adobe can go through the entire process and complete the document but pages are missing. Document should be 100 pages but maybe only 86 end up in the pdf.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat, I have made sure I have the latest updates.

You didn’t say anything about your Windows version.
What happens when you print chunks of say 50 pages?
What are the applications your printing from?

It is Windows 10.
When printing from around 50 pages it usually always works.
For issue #1 the printing is from Meditech, a electronic medical record.
For issue #2 the printing is from Paperstream.
The status box that appears from each of the two programs is different. The box from Meditech has a bar that moves along with the page count. The box that appears from Paperstream does not have the bar, only the page count.

Does printing to a file work? This would omit the part of creating the PDF.
If printing to a file does not work with Adobe PDF printer, try a different (Postscript) printer!

Printing to something like Cute PDF works but it takes a lot longer and we are wanting to use the pdf printer with Adobe standard.
