Since updating to the 2017 release of Acrobat, I'm having problems with transparency on check boxes. Under 'Appearance', 'Border Color' and 'Fill Color' no longer have the option to make transparent when I manually drop in the box. When the form auto-populates with check boxes, my default setting of no border color, no fill works. Any ideas?
Thanks -

Yes, this is driving me crazy. I can't even change the fill or border colors at all.

This issue was reported several times recently in connection with High Sierra. You'll need to wait for an update to fix it.
You should still be able to do it using a script, though.

Thanks so much. I had a feeling. The color picker has no transparency button.
Adobe has no excuse—they had developer access to the High Sierra betas for months. They could've released a fix the day Apple released it. Don't get me wrong, I love the apps, but this is a recurring problem with Adobe and it's infuriating.

Neither you nor I know how long Adobe had access to HS before it was released to the general public, or if this bug existed in the beta versions, but I agree that they have to solve this type of issue ASAP, especially for those people who pay for a subscription and expect it to be always up-to-date.

They literally had access to the first High Sierra developer beta on June 5, 2017.

This is beyond irritating. There is no excuse for this. I've been dealing with this problem for months. Adobe doesn't seem to be all that concerned.
I am reaching out to them on Twitter. Maybe if I make enough noise in a more public forum they'll at least ATTEMPT to care about this issue.

Adobe support asked me to download and install the latest update Via FTP server (18.009.20050)
This did NOT fix my problem. The fill color stays transparent no matter what. The color picker comes up but when you select the color...it stays transparent.

Hello. I am having the opposite problem. I don't have a transparency checkbox option. I have High Sierra and the latest Acrobat update. Have you found a fix?

Acrobat and the MacOS color picker have never been friends.
I remember similar issues with Acrobat X and Acrobat 8, and may be some other versions…

95% of Rectangle applications are transparent. WHY ISN'T THAT AN OPTION? Why can I make the default rectangle fill pink but not transparent?
And the Opacity affects BOTH the Line Color and the Fill Color. That shouldn't be the case. I need to create a rectangle with a fill color, and then manually press the settings tab (which is missing in the attached picture where I pick the default settings) and select transparent fill.
Very poor design, I hope it is fixed immediately.
