Please supply me with the steps I need to take to move Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to another laptop. I tried installing it on the new laptop and was told by the installation software that my serial number form Adobe Acrobat X Pro was valid. I need it because the version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC that I have is an upgrade. Please advise.

First, what do you have: is it Acrobat Pro DC, subscription based?

Acrobat Pro (DC) 2015, perpetual license?

Or Acrobat Pro 2017, perpetual license?

If you still have access to the old computer open Acrobat and log out from it.

Then install it on the new computer, log in, and you're all done!

Ok, to to install the upgrade version of that you will first need your Acrobat 2015 serial number. Then, it will ask you for a qualifying product and you now choose Acrobat X and enter your old Acrobat X license. If that doesn't work let us know (please do NOT post any serial numbers, and don't send them to anyone who contacts you claiming to be from Adobe - they may be a scammer!)

When I open Adobe Acrobat DC, after the Install, I'm prompted to select the "Previous Version" (I select Adobe Acrobat X Pro Windows) and "Serial Number of Previous Version. I enter the Serial number located on the box (Note: the serial number includes dashes, but area you enter the doesn't accept dashes) and then the software issue, "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another." I'm using the correct number, I've got my Amazon.com receipt for the purchase I made on 30-Apr-2012 for the Adobe Acrobat X Professional, the Amazon.com receipt for the purchase I made on 30-Apr-2015 for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Upgrade Windows and both Serial numbers. Please continue your assistance until this is resolved.

Thank you for your Time and Support,

Jim

There is one more thing to check before we say we can't help you in the forum. Make sure you have downloaded Acrobat 2015, not Acrobat DC (Continuous) or Acrobat 2017. If you have done this you will now need to contact Customer Service.

I am installed Acrobat Pro DC from the original install DVD. Do I need to download the software instead of using the original DVD?

No, that should be fine, and eliminates the chance of error. So you will now need to contact Adobe, we've gone as far as we can here. They will have to check your serial numbers.

My 1st mistake was to supply Adobedesk@usa.com with a serial number. But then they asked for my User Name and Password so they could open a ticket for me.
