Multiple pages on same page number

I have a problem with a file where Adobe displays and read the same pagenumber on mutiple pages. Adobe says the file has 2359 pages while it displaylay 2373 pages. All pages after page 2359 have the same number. When I go to the last page in the document Adobe shows page 2752 (2373 of 2373).

Anyone know how to get around this?

Yes, I suppose so, but are there any way around this to give each page their own number. It’s a large document with a lot of links, targets and comments. If not we have to start all over I qess?
