It's the same thing. Acrobat DC was the name Adobe used before for Acrobat Pro.

What happens when you try to do anything beside "open & combine files"?

What i was trying to do was highlight some text. I was researching the problem and someone suggested that sometimes the pdf is an image and not real text. i searched for some specific text in the pdf and it didnt find it so i'm guessing its just an image. I then was looking at some tutorials on youtube and the had some more tools on the top menu/toolbar which i dont have. i just want to be able to highlight a specific line in yellow for example but when i tried to do this it wouldnt work. I'm assuming this is because its an image and not really text. I want to find an alternate solution to have it look like i am highlighting it with a magic marker

Either run Recognize Text or hold down Ctrl when using the Highlighter tool.

HI @Stanovb_1219 ,

Thanks for reaching out and apologies for inconvenience caused. From the screenshot it appears that you have access to all tools. Can you explain in more detail what happens when you try to use tools other than combine ?

Also to highlight the text you can Go To Edit PDF option and use the highlight tool (tools can also be found using search) .

Regards,

Divya Kumar Singh
