My product key is now expired and I can't use the program I purchased????

I bought Acrobat Pro in 2016 and have been using it on and off since then for random PDFs on my computer.

Randomly I try to sign in and it says my serial number is now fraudelent/expired???

How can a permanent key I purchased expire? Very convenient for Adobe since my only option is to subscribe monthly now.

eg, the key/serial number may have been made public or otherwise shared.

Did you buy it directly from Adobe, or from someone else? If the latter, was it a reputable reseller?

Also, you don't have to make a subscription for Acrobat. It's still available as a "perpetual" license. The current version is called Acrobat 2020.
