I use Abode Acrobat DC and I am particularly fond of the "Fill and Sign Tool". As a disabled professional, I like how clicking "Sign Yourself" would bring up an image of my actual signature and initials I used when I was stronger in the past. It was basically an electronic signature that looks like a wet signature for everyone involved. I have used this feature for years. Never had a problem with it. As a redundancy, I used the "Stamp Tool" to make a version of my signature for when I just need to sign, but not lock down a document for other signers, like what happens when you sign normally electronically.
Then, yesterday in the middle of the day, suddenly my signature disappeared from the Fill and Sign Tool when I used it to fill and sign tax documents for a married couple (I am a tax attorney). I was just filling out a tax form and when finished, I signed it on behalf of one spouse with no issues. Yet 15 minutes later, when I attempted to sign for the other spouse, my signature was gone and replaced with the "add signature" prompt right above my initials that have thankfully remained. My signature stamps also disappeared, however, alongside ALL my custom stamps of any kind, including my custom categories. I have no idea what happened!
Yes, I am still signed into my account on Adobe Acrobat. I know that it probably screwed me over, but I tried copying my signature on an old document. Unfortunately, when pasted, it comes over to mspaint/word/other PDF blacked out. By printing the document to a new PDF, I could copy an old signature but it loses all transparency when I load it into the Fill and Sign Tool. Yes, I tried pasting it to Word and setting the white space as transparent before loading it into the Fill and Sign Tool. It loads but it is very pixelated with something that looks like dropshadow but colored white. This area does not want to become transparent for some reason. It looks hideous against an off-white background.
Is there any way to get Adobe Acrobat DC to rollback a couple days? I do not understand why this happened. I am completely lost. Could Adobe see if they have it still on their end? I am disabled and no longer able to sign, it would mean a lot if I could recover it.
Have something to add?
