The new version of Acrobat represents everything that I dislike about most "upgrades". Rather than just adding great new features and capabilities, or repairing a security problem in the background, the whole user interface was upturned. It really feels like it was overhauled by someone who needed to justify keeping their job by making sweeping changes rather than making the product better.
Like most Adobe products, it now runs slower and is more resource hungry. Both the desktop and browser versions have lost some abilities that people use multiple times every day. The interface now is an illogical, messy layout. When saving PDF documents, they only save to downloads (or other singular folder) rather than offering a choice of folders and defaulting to the last used folder which saves time when downloading many documents into the same folder. It was clunky but useable before. It is now less useful.
Acrobat has been a daily go-to program for many years. It's time to look for other products.
