Is anyone else struggling with the fact that adobe changed the redact functionality some time since October 23rd so that you can't redact signed documents? I'm on the line with support now and they keep claiming this is normal because "it's official" but I was able to do so as recently as October 23rd. Suddenly the app won't allow me to do so (and lot of other stuff has broken as well - don't get me started about how slow and terrible support is).
I'd like to find a work around for this that does NOT involve 4 steps. I shouldn't have to use MICROSOFT print to PDF to be able to redact a document. Why do I pay so much to Adobe for features that just don't work?

@etkearns that kinda makes sense... why would you 'redact' a signed document? You should do this before you signed it? But, I also understand why too, as my sister had a similar issue that shee had to redact a signed document after the fact. And what I did was I flattened the the file. Essentially I saved the file again as an Optimized PDF. In the Transparency settings, Flattening was checked on. It flattened the signature into an image allowing the Redact tool to work again.

Well, I don't think you'd redact before signing it. But, I do know I was able to redact signed documents. I think Adobe is trying to be more than it actually is here. Don't tell me what I can/can't redact. I specifically want to redact pricing from a signed contract so I can share in another contract. I shouldn't have to go through additional steps. This new "Feature" breaks the functionality of hte application. Why pay more than $200/year for it to not work?

Sorry, "But, I do know I was able to redact signed documents" should be "But, I do know I was able to redact signed documents before this update." I did it as recently as October 23rd. I should never have bought this crap software.
