I wish I were an eloquent person so I could adequately express how much I hate what Adobe is doing to Acrobat. You cannot possibly be basing any of the changes to the interface on actual user input. I absolutely hate this product now and I would switch immediately if I knew of an alternative. Why in the world would you decide to flip the contols from one side to the other? Not expecting an answer. Just wanted to vent.

Welcome to the club! If you browse around this forum a bit you'll find many other similar posts.

Luckily, you can go back to the old UI.  Click the Options button at the top left corner (Windows) or open the View menu (Mac) and select Disable New Acrobat.
