Newly re-installed Acrobat DC won't let me edit PDFs

I had a hard drive fail, so have re-installed everything.

I can open Acrobat DC - it looks different, i assume a later version.

I click Edit PDF

Blue message pops up: More tool components are beintg installed. We'll let you know when you can use the tool

NOTHING I do gets me anywhere. It's a paid subscription, so I'm a bit annoyed!

Hi Bevan,

Sorry for the delay in response to your issue reported here.

The application you have downloaded again after the crash, does it shows Acrobat DC in the upper left corner when you launch the application?

Not sure if the correct setup was downloaded after reinstalling the hard drive. What we can try to make it work is:

1- First run this cleaner tool to uninstall the Acrobat DC and its traces: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

2- Once done, do a fresh install of Acrobat from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Once done, let us know if  you still experience the same issue.

Thanks,

Akanchha
