Hi! I recently encountered some problems with recent files in Adobe Acrobat:
- First, sometimes the "recent" section but also the "starred" section appear to be empty: i cannot see any file until I wait some time or close the app and then re-open it. It kinda scares me because it seems like I'm able to lose all my files at one point.
- Second, when i modify a file and then close it, its dimension obviously increases when I see it in the recent files; however, when I go to the starred files its dimension it's the same it was before I modified it and when I come back to the recent section it's the same one. When I re-open and re-close the file, its dimension increases again, but if I go to the starred section it decreases and so on (although the changes have been saved).
- Third, sometimes when I'm modifying a file (and it's been a long time such as 30 minutes) and then I exit it, the app says "There was an error and Adobe was not able to save the changes" so that I loose all the work I've done. It happens rarely when I exit a file after a few minutes but more frequently when I work on it for a longer time.
- Fourth, it's an advice: It would be better to have the option to remove the "AI summary" section when a file is opened because it occupies a little bit of space on the screen and also sometimes it happens to go on it by mistake and then to exit from the file ecc.
- Fifth, another advice: It would be great to have more color options (with a palette like the Microsoft Word'one) and also to choose the trait of the highliter from I________I to (________).
My devices are Samsung Tab S6 lite (Android 14), POCO X6 Pro 5G (Android 15) and Dell Inspiron 5645 (Windows 11)

Hi superels,
Thank you for reaching out.
Could you please confirm if you are experiencing the issues on the desktop or the mobile application? It would be really helpful if you could share the screen recording and the screenshots of the issues you mentioned above for a better understanding. Please also share the application and the OS version numbers currently in use.
We will look into this once we have more information.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well and thank you for reaching out and for sharing such a detailed description of the issues you’ve been experiencing with Acrobat on your Samsung Tab S6 Lite (Android 14).
I’ll go through each of the points you mentioned:
1. Recent and Starred files not showing immediately:
This might be due to a temporary sync delay. Closing and reopening the app usually refreshes the file list, as you’ve noticed. I’d recommend signing out and back into your Adobe account in the app, and also checking that background sync permissions are enabled for Acrobat on your device.
2. File size showing inconsistencies between Recent and Starred sections:
This seems like a display glitch. Even though the actual changes are saved, the metadata (like file size) may not always refresh consistently across different sections. Clearing the app cache from your device settings might help ensure the file information updates correctly.
3. Error when saving after long edits:
I understand how frustrating this can be. This often happens if the app loses access to temporary storage while the file is still open. To help minimize the risk, please make sure you have enough free storage space on your tablet, keep Acrobat updated to the latest version, and try saving your work periodically by exiting and reopening the file during long editing sessions.
4. Feedback on AI Summary:
Thank you for this suggestion! We understand that not all users need the AI Summary panel at all times. Your feedback is very valuable. You may turn off the AI features from the App Preferences. Tap on the profile icon > Preferences > Uncheck 'Enable Generative AI features in Acrobat'
5. Feedback on highlighter customization:
Great suggestion! Having more color options and adjustable highlighter traits would definitely give users more flexibility. You may also share your feedback directly with the development team here (https://adobe.ly/41zDnbo ) for their consideration and future implementation.
Also, try updating the Acrobat mobile App to the latest version 25.9.0 from the Play Store and Android OS to Android 15 and see if that works.
