Saludos,

Hi @jose_guillermo_6972,

Thanks for the details and the screenshot. The message “No tienes suficientes permisos para realizar esta tarea” (You don’t have sufficient permissions to perform this task) usually appears when one or more PDFs in the folder are secured or have restricted permissions set by their creator. Even if you can open the file, Acrobat may be blocked from modifying or re-saving it under a different compatibility version (such as “Acrobat 4.0 or later”).

Here are a few checks and next steps:

1. Check PDF Security:

  • Open one of the affected PDFs.

  • Go to File > Properties > Security (tab).

  • See if it says “Security Method: Password Security” or shows any restrictions (e.g., “Content Copying: Not Allowed” or “Changing the Document: Not Allowed”).

If the file is protected, Acrobat cannot change its compatibility level unless the restriction is removed using the correct password.

2. Ensure Admin Rights:

  • Right-click Acrobat and choose Run as Administrator, then retry the batch conversion.

3. Check Folder/File Attributes:

  • Make sure the source and destination folders are not set to Read-only.

4. Try Processing One File:

  • Test conversion on a single file to confirm if the issue occurs only with specific PDFs or with all files.

If the files were created or received from another source, they may have embedded restrictions preventing modification. In such cases, Acrobat’s “Convert to PDF/A” or “Reduce File Size” workflows may show similar permission-related messages.

Let us know how it works and what you find. Thanks for reaching out.

Best regards,
