OCR doesn't work with skewed text

I have some old PDFs with a non-Adobe-added watermark that is printed on a diagonal.  I would like to remove the watermark.

I cannot get the OCR to recognize the text  (i tried almost all combinations in the OCR), and also PDFPro.

Does anyone have an idea that may work?

Thank you!

Hi @Mike27605263vzpv

Sorry for the delay in response.

Is the PDF document you refer to above a scanned file or contains real text? When you run the OCR, it doesn't recognize the Watermark or the entire text.

How to Add or Remove the Watermark, please refer to this help article here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/add-watermarks-pdfs.html

Can you share the file with us? We'd like to test the same at our end and figure out the root cause of the problem.

You can upload the file on Document Cloud web https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/ and share the link with us here.

Thanks,

Akanchha
