Is there a way to apply ocr to a specified section of the page? I'm wanting to ocr a parts book for a machine, but I only want to do the parts lists so that I can make the document searchable. I do not need or want any of the callouts or other text on the drawings to be touched.

Sorry, this is not possible in Acrobat. It's all or nothing.

Thanks for the replies! I was afraid of that. Maybe Adobe should look into this feature. I guess i'll have to hunt for a pdf editor that may let me accomplish this.
