A lot of the .PDF files that I need to re-open a few days later are in my OneDrive folder. None of them show up in my Recent Files list. How do I make them show up in my Recent Files list?
I'm on a MacBook Pro M2 Max 2023, macOS 14.5, Acrobat 2024.002.20759

This page shows how to give Acrobat access to your OneDrive account: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/access-onedrive-files.html
I tried it but unfortunately I don't have the neccessary privileges (administrator), since my OneDrive account is administred by my university. Will try to ask the IT department.

@Frederik Krag36475453s4yy why don't you open the files and save to your MacBook. Quit out of it, and re-open to see if they show up in your recent files then. When I need to save files, I always save to my desktop first and save another version for the cloud. Just in case during the upload, it can either crash or get corrupted (because some glitches do happen!)

@KazuTa I might be wrong here, but my understanding is because the files are being saved in the cloud. The files aren't actually downloaded to your computer unless you open them. Since they technically aren't local files, they wouldn't show up in Recent Files.

The way I understand it Acrobat has no problem with cloud storage. I have cloud storage from Adobe (which I never use, because I don't like to store my files in too many places) and Dropbox. I just gave Acrobat access to Dropbox, and it seems to work perfectly. However, when I try to give Acrobat access to OneDrive, I get the message that I need administrator privileges. I hope the IT department will fix this. For me this would be better than having to store every file I open on my MacBook.

OneDrive creates a folder on my local internal hard drive. It leaves some of the bigger files offline to save space, but the file I keep accessing regularly is online – it physically exists on my local drive – so that wouldn't be the issue in this case.

When I launch the Creative Cloud desktop app, it doesn't offer the option to update Acrobat.

Hi @KazuT,
Thanks for the response.
While the team is working on the issue, I wanted to see if the latest release eased the process for you.
Would you mind helping us with a few logs?
Please help us gather the logs from your machine: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-diagnostics.html. You can upload logs using this tool and share your Unique log ID with us.

Done. Thank you.
It's strange. Several PDFs in my OneDrive folder do show up in my Recent Files list. The only one that doesn't is the one for which I created the Diagnostic log. It's a file I have to revisit frequently, so it'd be convenient to have it in my Recent Files list.

@KazuT , Are the files which show up in your recent file lists are synced to your Mac always?
