I would like to open a pdf in adobe desktop client directly from SharePoint using the web interface not the windows file explorer interface. It’s only offering me the ‘open in browser’ option.
I have the adobe reader plug-in extension that does not show the option when viewing in SharePoint.
But most critically any edits I make in the adobe PDF, must also sync back to SharePoint once saved as well.

Sorry to say I never found an answer to this, instead we have to sync our SharePoint directories locally and work from there. Just hoping it's a feature that will be there in the future.
