I've got a wide spreadsheet (Excel) that when viewed in landscape is 2 pages
When a friend distributed it, it opened in portrait and was 4 pages, breaking the rows across pages making it harder to follow.
Is there something I can do to force the pdf to remain with a landscape orientation?

Hello,
I hope you are doing well. As per the above description, I understand that you want to force the document's orientation to Landscape.
To do so, please try the below steps:
Open the Tools panel --> Pages pane --> Rotate pages and save the document.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Souvik.

Not quite....
The pdf output of the excel sheet is already in landscape.
But, when sent to someone who then attaches it to another email, the orientation somehow converts to portrait.
How to stop the conversion to portrait?

This is not something that normally happens. Do you know what application they're using to view the file?

That's why I'm asking....
The creator of the pdf, person A, sent it attached to an email to person B who in turn attached the pdf to a new email which was distributed to several dozen people. When some of those people opened the pdf attachment, it was a 4 page portrait. I am one of those people.

Problem was that the original pdf was 4 pages portrait when sent by the creator.
Nothing to see here.....
