Hi all,
Hoping you can shed some light on this the screenshot attached has overprinting applied to almost everything, logos text etc., but in the Acrobat Pro DC, however in a much older version of Acrobat X it actually does? Also doesn't show in Illustrator in overprint mode as well. output preview although it says there is overprint it doesn't show.

Hi Zpunter
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/previewing-output-acrobat-pro.html#choose_simulation_profile_a... and see if that works for you.
Note: Adobe Acrobat X is an old and EOL application. For more information please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/end-of-support-acrobat-x-reader-x.html
Hope this information will help
Regards
Amal

Not really I cannot see why the latest version of Adobe won't show a file that will print incorrectly and a older outdated unsupported version does?

It is difficult to answer without seeing the document.
What is certain is that setting white or red text overprinted on black ink is a mistake, because the result is necessarily all black.
