Overwitten commented file

I have been working these days with a document in the cloud. Making a big work to comment it. The thing is, that yesterday, when trying to work from another device(that doesn`t work too good), this file was in a older stadium of commetns. Like it was 8 days ago. 

When i opened it back today in my computer seemd that the version I was working on got overwritten by the version that were open in the other device, not updated. is there any way Io can recover all these comments? I can not find any version control utility.

If you're on Windows, right-click the file, go to Properties and check the Previous Versions tab.

If you're on a Mac use the Time Machine app.
