Dear all,

a "new" ISO-Norm prescribes us to archive all our documents in PDF /A-2a Standard. I found the option to convert it to this via "Save as - Archive / PDF A" but my colleague aks for an .jobfile File or an entry to Adobe Distiller.

Does someone know how to export a PDF A-2a directly from Indesign for example or better, get an new Entry "PDF /A-2a" to Adobe Distiller?

Thanks in advance, Jan

Making. PDF/A-2a files with Distiller is out of the question, because files require tagging. They must be created after tagging by a compliant app. You can't just take an ordinary file and convert it to PDF/A-2a at the touch of a button.

However, InDesign can make a tagged PDF by export directly. So Acrobat can convert this to tagged PDF. You may find a suitable PDF/X format (such as PDF/X-5) the best base if InDesign can't make PDF/A directly.
