PDF CONVERSION NOT ALLOWED DESPITE FREE TRIAL AND CREDIT CARD ACCEPTED

I've just started the free trial of DC Pro and provided my credit card details for a monthly payment. All was well, I thought. It converted a Word document to pdf fine and I downloaded it. Ok! Now, today, I have uploaded a modification to the Word document (60 Mb) but when I go to convert it immediately asks me to either start a free trial or pay the monthly fee. Where have I gone wrong, please. I'm not an IT beginner and I suspect I am in a different box from the one Adobe put me in when I signed up. Please help me understand.

You're receiving this error in Microsoft Word? When you create the PDF, are you using the Acrobat tab at the top of the Word interface?

Hello Chad,

I uploaded, after several failed attempts, the whole Word file into Acrobat. I tried to open that file but after 5 minutes of a circling circle i pushed the left arrow to get back. This didn't take me to the list of documents but a page that suggested a file could be opened. So I went through that and was back to the message that the file type was incorrect (.docx). The attachment is that web page.

Thank you for replying.

Peter

I gave it another go without success. However, I spotted a suggestion that I link to One Drive which I did. I then uploaded the Word file and coverted via Acrobat. All was fine. Perhaps this linkage was esssential to make Acrobat work! I don't know.  Thank you, Chad.

Glad you got it working. What was confusing is that you weren't using the Adobe Acrobat application but instead the online version. The screen shot that you shared does show that you're using a free account not a paid account.

Hi Chad,

Yes, I saw that the screen showed I had been accepted for the free version but on trying to get it to convert it always asked me to go for a free trial. There was a disconnect there in the system.

I had downloaded the Acrobat DC app as suggested by them but this did the same thing. After a myriad of different ways I tried the connection which seemed to have made it burst into life. That shouldn't be a gateway, in my view! Anyway, thank you - it is good to know that someone is around to provide possible routes!
