So frustrating that each time I save a PDF I have to change the PDF name and then go back delete the original and update the PDF file name.  I use preview pane all the time.  Is there a way to work-around this?  I want to save the PDF without changing the name and keep the preview pane.  It works for blubeam no problem, why cannot it not work for Adobe?!

My old company used Blubeam and I miss it !!  Adobe reader is a major pain in comparison in many ways!

Hi,

can you share some information to help you locate a solution?

What is the exact version of your operating system and software?

Where are the files saved, do you get the same issue when a file is created to your local desktop (for example)? I am wondering as why the file is read-only, which forces you to give a new name to the updated file.

Hi Eric, when I have the preview pane in the folder open and I open a PDF add a comment and close it, it will not save and will say the file is read only.

I use the preview pane all the time and I add comments to PDFs also a lot.  So to turn the preview pane on and off is tiresome.
