PDF drawing tool

I used to be able to use my pen on my laptop to write on pdfs without clicking on the comment > drawing tool. Just a simple touch of a pen meant I was drawing a line. Why can I no longer do that?

When I put my pen on the screen now, it selects an area or a text. How do I get it back to writing once it touches the screen?

As per the issue description that drawing tool isn't coming up while using the pen. Would you mind sharing a few more details to understand the issue better?

1. OS name and version?
2. Application version?
3.  Check in application preferences> general> touch mode. Set it to Auto-detect

Make sure that the app is updated to the latest version.
