pdf fillable form fields duplicating only in browsers (Edge and Chrome)

When filling in the PDF form fields (of the PDF fillable form that I created), the text duplicates into few other fields of the form of same type, which is a drop down in this case (not all such drop down fields) in the PDF.

This happens only when the form gets filled in the browser. Tried MS Edge and Google Chrome.

I have got the fields uniquely named (suffixed by a number).

You may want to ask this question in a more appropriate forum: Either for "Nitro Pro", "MS Edge" or "Chrome". It does not sound like there is any Adobe software involved. Both Edge and Chrome have their own PDF viewer (and the two viewers are different). Because it happens with both browers, I would suspect the culprit to be the Nitro Pro generated form.
