PDF Form: Create a Repeating Section

New Here ,
Aug 16, 2024 Aug 16, 2024

Hi All

I have created a simple Asset Disposal form & would like to ask - how does one go about creating a repeating section in Acrobat Pro DC. To dispose of an Asset there are approx. 6 fields which need to be completed.

When an end user completes the form some may request for 3 assets to be disposed others maybe 15-20.

I would like to steer clear of having to create a form with so much emply blank fields.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Neil

Not with a normal PDF file, no. You can create the fields in advance, hide them, and then show them as needed, but when they are hidden there will be a blank space on your page.

Or you could create a full page for the repeating part, convert it to a (hidden) Template object and then spawn new copies of it when more sections are needed, but it only works as a full page, not as a part of a page.

If this is on one page, you can hide fields until the user select how many assets they need, then show the fields depending on user choice.

If you want another page for this, you can create template from that page, keep it hidden and then spawn it depending on user choice.
