PDF Form field - maximum number value

Hi there,

I have a number field that I need to set to only accept up to 12000 but not any value above that. If someone enters something greater, 12001 for example, I would need to have an alert display that states something like "Your entry cannot exceed 12000". 

I'm assuming I need to add a custom script to achieve both of these but I cannot figure out how to do this. I have been searching "PDF form field maximum value", "PDF form field max number field", etc. but can't find an example that helps me along.

You can do this in the Forms Design mode. Just select the field you want to work on. Right mouse click and select the Properties. Select the Validate tab and enter your amounts. See image

Your picture did not come through, but your description is correct. However, in order to have this option available you must first set the Format of the field to Number.
