Hello,
I hoping someone can help. I created an email button and when I try and send, it doesn't attach the PDF file. The mailto: opens Microsoft Outlook but doesn't attach the PDF file.
This is how I have it setup.
Thank you,
Pat

Hi Pat,
Sorry for the delay in response.
This is the right approach to email the attachment. Would you let me know what happens when you click the button.
Also, check if you have any pending updates. If there are any try installing them. Restart the machine and try again.
Also, you may check this thread: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/dynamically-setting-submit-e-mail-address

I noticed this behavior happens to me when I submit a PDF form (using mailto:) from within Chrome web browser's default PDF viewer plugin. The email client opens, but without an attachment. You might want to make sure the PDF opens in Adobe Reader in order to submit the PDF using a mailto address. Or a work-around would be to convert the PDF to an HTML form, so when the end users submits the HTML form the data can be merged with a blank PDF using ASP.net (and iTextSharp). The merged PDF can be attached to an outbound SMTP email message and a response can be sent to the end-users with a success/fail redirect or message. All without the utilizing client-side email software.

Hi NKOWA555,
Google chrome doesn't use anymore Adobe's plugin to view pdf documents: Change in support for Acrobat and Reader plug-ins in modern web browsers so we don't have control over it.
I would suggest download the pdf file and open in Reader/Acrobat.
Let us know if that helps.
