pdf help

I have a word document that i put a pdf file in and i want that pdf file to be able to be openened after i save the word document as a pdf. For example when you have your email address you can open it from the pdf, I want my file that is in the document to open when clicked.  How can I accomplish this?  TIA

Are you referring to embedding a PDF document in a Microsoft Word document?

 

This is not really related to an inquiry on Adobe Acrobat Pro, but if it helps in any way, you must set Adobe Acrobat Pro as the default PDF handler via operating system settings first (requires a paid subscription).

 

Otherwise, when you click on the linked PDF file on MS Word, it will open with whatever the PDF default handler is 

 set for the Windows operating system.
