PDF internal Link to other attached PDF

New Here ,
Nov 14, 2025 Nov 14, 2025

We usually attach other PDFs in a PDF document. We create links to open the attached PDFs in a new window. That this works we have to edit the action of the link for every single link.

Is it possible to make that a default that always when we create a link to open another PDF that happens in a new window. If you don't open the attached PDFs in a new window you end up in a died end .

@manuel_8578 no, I don't think Adobe Acrobat Pro has that capability a global default setting that forces every link created to a file attachment to open in a new window. You could configure an action for each individual link you create. Instead of manually setting the action for every single link from scratch, you can set up the first link perfectly, and then copy its settings to all subsequent links.
