PDF maker unable to produce pdf

Having issue with user where adobe pro is unable to transfer document from word to pdf. Recieves error "An unexpected error occured. PDFMaker was unable to produce adobe pdf. User had microsoft 365 and adobe pro. They are able to use print option in word and print as PDF without error. Has already uninstalled and reinstalled adobe pro.

While converting the word file to PDF, are you using save as Adobe PDF or Save as PDF?

There's a difference in both, as one is Microsoft's PDF maker plugin, and the other is an Acrobat plugin.

If ts freeware Acrobat Reader, that doesn't provide a PDF maker plugin.

If you are using save as Adobe PDF, then try the following troubleshooting steps:

1- Update the Acrobat Pro desktop application.
