When I hit the 'Print' option in Acrobat Reader it immediately crashes, and if I go back into the reader I have to restore the document I was trying to print.
I am using Windows 11.

Hi Arthur
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.
Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat Reader you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20085 installed. Go to help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also, try to repair the installation from the help menu and see if that works.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and then try to open it and check.
You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
Also, try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
Also please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html and check if that works.
Regards
Amal

Thanks Amal but none of the solutions you suggested worked.
I've never had this problem before so I can only assume is to do with the MS Windows 11 operating system.

Hi there
We are sorry to hear that.
Would you mind collecting the Adobe Crash logs https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/collect-logs-crash-freeze.html and Procmon logs https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via document cloud as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html for further investigation of the issue?

Hi Amal,
This is the frustrating part - there are no warnings and no explanations as to what the program has done or suffered. The window displaying the Adobe document simply closes and you are looking at the program that you were using to open the PDF file. ie. MS Edge, MS Outlook, Google Chrome etc.
When you re-open the PDF file you are informed as such:-

I am having the same issues. Everytime I try to print a GMAIL email into a PDF the whole web browser just simply shuts down without any explanation. I go back in and restore and it will do the same thing. I cleared my cache, checked for updates and not sure where to go from here. VERY FUSTRATING

Hi there,
Would you mind sharing the worksflow/steps you are doing to print the PDF file? A small video recording would be very helpful.
If you are trying to print to PDF, its a MS process to create the PDF file and Adobe doesn't have any hold on it. Please try to print to Adobe PDF and check. You may also try to with a different web browser and check if that works.

I would love to send you a video of what is happening with Adobe. The
reason I assumed it was Adobe is being not only does it crash when I try to
print to PDF. But I am unable to do much of anything without the program
itself freezing. I cannot copy and paste among other things.
How do I record the screen for you?

Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.
