PDF's closing the second I open them

I've been using Adobe Acrobat DC for a few months now: mainly for creating new pfds or converting other docs into PDF. I'm self employed so I use this daily for building client packs.

I've had the running issue of pdfs only openeing/sending as chrome links.

I amended the properties to open with Adobe Acrobat DC, which has opened up another can of worms.

It looks as though all files are now a standard PDF as opposed to chrome link, however when I open it, it opens for a second or two and closes again.

I'm using the most up to date version (I updated just before I typed this) but it's all completely knackered.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would massively appreciate it!

Thanks,

Emma

Try going to Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced) and unticking Enable Protected Mode.

Also, are you using multiple monitors?

Hello and thank you for that! Unfortuantely it won't stay open for long enough to click anything. Do you know of another way I can amend the settings? It partially opens for 2-3 seconds and closes right back down again. I've tried the usual uninstalling & reinstalling, checked for updates, rebooted etc over the course of the last week in the hopes it would sort itself out but no luck thus far! Thanks again

Have you tried opening the program itself without trying to open a document?
