Hello,
I have been tasked with remediating a number of PDFs on our website and can get them to pass the PAC 2024 accessibility check for Quality, and WCAG, but not PDF/UA because there is no PDF / UA Identifier. It seems like it should be an easy fix through pre-flight, but unlike the tutorials and guides I've seen, the " set PDF/UA -1 entry" does not show up for me. Is this a bug, or something to do with my version of Acrobat? I checked for updates and it said there were none. I have to fix hundreds of old PDFs so I'm hoping there is an easy fix. Thank you for any help you can give me!

This fixup appears (for me) under "Acrobat Pro DC 2015 profiles". Search for "ua" and it should appear at the bottom of the list. You can create a new Profile that uses it, and then run it on your files:

Thank you for your post! I gave that a try, but it doesn't appear under the options for fix ups. If I select "Acrobat Pro DC 2015" as you did, then it gets grayed out and there are no fixups available at all. Same if I select PDF Standards. It only shows me fixup options under "essential" , and the "set PDF/UA " is not an option.

Strange... What is your version of Acrobat?

It's version 2025.001.2047. I tried to look for updates but it says none found.

Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Try running a Repair Installation from the Help menu (maybe it's under Menu - Help, if you have the new UI enabled).

I just ran the Repair Installation but it's still showing the same thing.

Hi @courtney_3648,
I have seen users experiencing a similar issue, preflight profiles missing.
Could you try the suggestion from this similar discussion https://adobe.ly/45bDCw1 and let us know if that works for you.
