Pdf with multiple links no longer working

I got an interractive adobe document, not sure what the technical term but it has a main page and then you can navigate to other documents. posting a screen shot of the folder structure for better clarity. Anyway, it used to work perfectly but now everytime i try to open it it just opens the adobve website so trhat i can download Adobe Acrobat Reader, which of course i already have. any ideas?

Open the file in Adobe Acrobat.

same result, it goes directly to https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/pdf-reader.html

Open Adobe Acrobat and use File > Open

thought it did the trick but i opened a different file by mistake. the one im trying to open still doesnt work 😞

Looks like a issue of the file.

no dont think so as it started all of a sudden, and it happens even if i downbload a fresh copy.  thanks for your help anyway
