Attempting to save a PDF as PDF/X - the icon has an x in the bottom right corner. The message when I click the icon: "More tool components are being installed. We'll let you know when you can use the tool." The same message for over 24 hours. I have restarted the program.

Would you mind sharing the workflow/steps you are doing and getting this error message? A small video recording of the steps and the error message would be very helpful.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a hared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and try again.
Also, make sure you have the application updated to the recent version 22.1.20142 Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
