Several of our users are having issues printing emails to PDF using the PDFmaker plugin from IBM Notes. The users click the toolbar button, which should yield a PDF portfolio with the email as a PDF document inside - and that PDF-email should contain the attachments.
What they receive instead is a portfolio holding a PDF-email with only the email headers - the email body is missing/blank. The attachments are available sometimes, other times they won't open. In all the case, the portfolio's filesize suggests that it's complete - including body and attachments. The issue only seem to happen with some emails holding PDF attachments but that might or might not be correct.
We've tried repairing and re-installing, we've also upgraded from Acrobat X on Lotus Notes 8 to Acrobat DC on IBM Notes 9FP8 - but no joy. We're able to print to PDF using other methods but our users really wish to keep using the toolbar plugin to embed the email attachments with a single click. This feature is pretty much the only reason we haven't migrated to Bluebeam Revu yet, so a solution would be greatly appreciated.
Has anyone encountered and fixed this issue? Thanks!

This is quite a specific configuration, I doubt that you will find help in this forum. I’m not sure that this qualifies as a Printing & Prepress problem. I move this question to Creating PDFs

Hi CMI,
Sorry for the delayed response.
As per the issue description mentioned above, the email body is missing/blank when users trying to print emails to PDF using the PDFmaker plugin from IBM Notes, is that correct?
Please try following troubleshooting steps:
1- Reboot the machine if you haven't already and try again.
2- If that doesn't work, check if an update is available for Acrobat using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again. You may also download updates from here: Adobe software and product updates
3- If issue still persists, try repairing Acrobat using "Repair installation" option under Help menu (for Windows OS only), reboot the machine after repair and check.
Thank You,
Shivam

Hello Adorobat/Shivam,
Exactly; some emails printed to PDF from IBM Notes come out with a blank body. Shorter emails tend to print just fine and the issue happens most often with long chain of replies or emails holding PDF attachments. I've collected half a dozen problematic files to try and pinpoint the issue, but didn't find anything.
Unfortunately, none of the suggestions worked. We've already rebooted, repaired, updated, re-installed, and even upgraded both Acrobat and Notes to their latest version, on at least one HP Probook running Windows 7 x64.
All suggestions are more than welcome, thanks!
