Background of issue: Users are on a Server 2012 R2 RDS server. Adobe Acrobat 2017 Pro is installed. They could print just fine using a .joboptions file. One day a user reported that the Adobe printer is missing. I found a support article that explained how to manually add the printer back. I did that and pdfs could be created normally. The issue comes when they try to select a PDF setting like PDF/A or a custom one they normally use. It will save, but they can't access the file. It says you must have read permissions. As administrator, i can print using these settings and open the file. Am I missing permissions somewhere? This seemed to happen after the update to 17.011.30197.
