Darnit Adobe!  This has been the response for the last half-hour and it hasn't even moved!  How am I supposed to work?

 

Ah, finally... I see I can use the Create PDF and the combine option still works THERE.  Why not just send me there?  Whole program running choppy & none of the other tools on that screen are working while it "updates."  Thanks for killing an hour for me.

Sorry for the troubled experience and delay in the response. 

It seems you may have been using Adobe Reader installer and now that app is getting upgraded to Acrobat in the background. 

 

If you are still experiencing this issue, you may uninstall the current application, download the Acrobat setup: https://adobe.ly/3C3FbzN, and install it.

No, I don't have Adobe Reader, I have Adobe Acrobat Pro.  I ended up rebooting, or possibly just logging out of Windows 11 and back in.  I'm not sure anymore.
