We have a number of forms where we use required fields and javascript so that the person filling in the form gets an alert mesage when they press the validate button if they have missed out any of the required fields. When using it in acrobat or acrobat reader this all works fine, but unfortunately we can't control how people open the form (although we ask them to use a pdf reader) and when it is opened in a browser sometimes the pop up alert that come up after validation won't go away. Instead when clicking ok it just seems to refresh the message - does anyone know if there is there a way to stop this happening?

May be that the browser validates the form again.
