Hi,
Im using the adobe share files with comments enabled to have a file that several users can access and highlight / draw in on different tablets. But despite removing the checkers for pop-up behaviour and reinstalling / cleaning Adobe i cant get rid of it, every time a line is added or something is highlighted a damn comment pop-up shows up prompting the need for a comment.
This is making the program lag and adobe eventually crashing every 3rd second until restarted on all devices, mobile or tablet. I did find a workaround to the problem, when drawing and marking i switch the color of the line before closing the tool down to avoid being given a comment pop-up but its annoying and not a permanent solution to the problem.

I did all of the steps in the above forum links, nothing works. Using the latest avaiable adobe acrobat PDF reader variant on app store V 25.2.
Sincere regards, Pontus

@ea_8799 I don't get that annoying pop-ups on my Acrobat. Are you talking about comments or pop-ups? These are two different things. Comments are annotations added to a PDF, often for review or collaboration. They appear as text boxes, sticky notes, highlights, or other markup directly on the document.
Pop-Ups, generally unexpected (or maybe in your case, unwanted) windows that appear, often advertising Adobe products, updates, or other notifications.
Which one are you referring too? On my preferences, I do use comments, so, I just have pop-ups off. And I don't see anything like you do. Can you take a screenshot of these pop-ups?

Hello and thank you for the reply,
Sorry, by pop-ups im talking about a prompt that appears every time i insert a line or highlight a text on the tablet making me write text and post it unlike how it works on my PC where drawn lines and highlights are just posted to the PDF whereas actual comments done using the comment function is the only one where i input text. This box with "Add a comment or use @ to invite others" crashes the program whenever text is inserted and posted so i do not want it when marking / drawing and not adding actual comments.
The Welcome to adobe PDF in the adobe program works like wanted, drawn lines and such are just inserted without any box appearing with a prompt to add a comment for each line drawn.
As said above im able to bypass this by switching colors of the marking done before i accept/close the tool used.

Hi @ea_8799,
Hope you are doing well. Thanks for the detailed explanation.
When opening the document, what's the workflow you use to add the lines? I tried this on my end, and using the draw feature did not open the comment box.
Would you mind sharing a screen recording of the workflow for a better understanding and assistance?
Also, when you mention of only the Welcome PDF working, are all the others 3D files? If yes, can you share one such sample file with us to test in-house? Regular PDFs (not 3D or metadata heavy) seem to work fine for me.
While you share the above details, please ensure you are on the latest version of the application (25.4.0.38535) for the best experience.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Souvik.
