I'm currently having an issue using a third party tool to redact marked up areas of a PDF that contain vector graphics (a pie chart mainly). The tool will create the black redact box but if you delete the black box the content is still underneath. My understanding is that it can't redact path objects. If I use the Hidden Information Tool to first remove all Overlapping Objects, then the third party tool redacts the chart as intended and it's no longer viewable even after deleting the black box.
My question is, if I add the removal of overlapping objects to the beginning of my Action before the tool tries to redact, are there any potential issues with causing the content of the document to look different or does removing overlapping objects just remove the portions that are not viewable to the user without alterning the appearance of images/graphics/charts/etc?
I need to redact thousands of documents so I would just like to have the Action run through them and hopefully not cause any issues.
