Hi Priyanka,
I've attached a sample type of pdf which replicates the error. It appears to be an error when a pdf contains a nested pdf but I'm not sure.

At my company we are also seeing this error.
We first noticed it when we were upgading from CS6/ AcrobatX Pro on Windows 7 to CC/ Acrobat DC Pro on Windows 10.
We noticed that:
We are continuing to use CS6/X/Win7 for preflighting and hoping for a resolution soon.
This makes me think that the error does not seem to be a part of the PDF file itself or the Acrobat preflight tool.
Is staff looking into this as an Acrobat DC interaction with the OS?
Is staff seeing this error on MAC OS also?

Unless you explicitly disabled the feature in the Acrobat preferences, Acrobat does self-update when new updates are available.
Quarterly updates are typically made available on the second Tuesday of the month, coinciding with Microsoft's Patch Tuesday.
You can check for updates manually within Acrobat via Help=>Check for Updates.
