Preflight missing in Adobe Acrobat

Community Beginner ,

Hello there,

I recently updated my PC to Windows 11 and installed Acrobat via Cloud. Since then the preflight does not work anymore. It does not open the preflight window and just shows the text, that it is being installed - but it never does. Sometimes I get a delayed message, that "I have to manually" install an element (guessing the preflight?), but it just leads me to an acrobat installer package of Adobe. I attached simple screenshots for to reproduce this effecet.

I did clean uninstalls via acro uninstaller and also testes Acrobat Pro 2024, but with the same effect. Maybe someone encountered the same issue or knows a workaround? I went through the standard ChatGPT stuff (uninstall & reboot, remove appdata DC folder & restart).

Can you clarify "installed Acrobat via Cloud"?

Do you mean you installed it with the Creative Cloud app or downloaded the app from Acrobat online site?

Thank you for the fast reply. First I downloaded it via Adobe cloud, but later I tested an installer direct from Adobe's homepage. But I already found a soloution another user posted here:

Ok, I found a solution that worked for me.

1. Uninstall Adobe

optional (2. Uninstall Adobe Cloud)

3. Download and Run the Acrobat Cleaner Tool (Link)

4. Reboot your PC

5. Download the Acrobat Pro installer (Link

6. Extract the folder

7. Inside the Adobe Acrobat folder, execute "setup.exe"

8. ATTENTION: On the first window, please click on "Customise".

9. Now click on "Optional Features" and select "This feature, and all subfeatures, will be installed on local hard drive."

Under "Optional Features", we have the "Preflight" option. So, Adobe will install the Preflight without a network installation.

10. After it, you can click on "Install".

Maybe this helps other users, too.

Can you post a link to that solution in case anyone else comes across this thread?
