Prepare form not working

It worked the 1st time and then every time there after, it does not.

I created a simple FILL in FORM with just headings in MS Excel.  Imported into Adobe as converted/saved as PDF.

Form Field auto detection is ON, I save the file and then get the message NO NEW FORM ANNOTATIONS WERE DETECTED,

I have the latest version (re-checked)

Any help/guidance would really be appreciated,

Just to add, I have put a border in Excel and then tried and it works. But do not want the border as then need to delete them all (at 4 lines per border). not sure what I did the 1st time when it worked. Definately did not have borders that time

At Prepare Form you can add form fields.

I am aware that I can add form fields but have 40 odd... Question is why it worked the 1st time and stopped every time since?

The field detection is not perfect.
